Do you ever have those days? Well...those weeks? The days where you feel like you are part of a rat race? Part of a whirlwind? You know, the days when you and your children are living out of your car and thanking God for fast food? The end of the school year seems to be as busy as the Christmas season with all of the parties, festivities and events. Those combined with baseball season, gymnastics classes, regular housework, lawn care, laundry etc., can leave me feeling frazzled and tired. I was thinking rush rush rush yesterday trying to get all that I needed to do= done. I was literally zooming in the car from one place to another when I saw it. It hit me. This is my FAVORITE time of year and I needed to take a deep breath, take it in s.l.o.w.l.y as not to miss any of it.
Honeysuckle has bloomed. Suddenly I slowed down. I wanted to be a kid again and pick some and just sit on a playground and enjoy the honeysuckle with no places to go, no chores to do, no deadlines to meet or housework calling my name. Just sit and soak it all in. All of it. It won't be long and it will be gone and I will have to wait a whole year to enjoy it again. So today, when I get off work, the first think I am going to do is pick some honeysuckle and enjoy myself before church. I hope you will too. I hope you will find some time to yourself in the midst of all of the end of the school year happenings.
I am also reminded of this scripture:
"Peace I leave with you,
My peace I give to you;
not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid. "
John 14:27
Enjoy your day!

You are so right. I have been crazed.
I have been smelling that sweet honeysuckle as I drive with my windows down. It is heavenly.
Thanks for the reminder. Love you!
Wonderful post!
Now that the wedding is over, I'm planning to stop and enjoy the view too.
Stop by...the wedding photos are posted. Oh.My.Gosh! Pure magic!
